In this video, the Free Syrian Army (FSA) assaults a Syrian Army position. It appears there is a fixed position on the 2nd floor with personnel that just won’t allow themselves to be defeated. The FSA fires multiple machine gun barrages, rifle fire, and even several direct hit RPG shots.
The war in Syria began in July, 2011, as a result of the Arab Spring in that country that started several months earlier. There are four major factions in the Syrian Civil War – the Syrian Government, the Opposition Government (includes Al Qaeda and the FSA), the Kurdish Force (includes YPG), and ISIS. Each faction has taken over and controls a portion of Syria and there are rumors that Al Qaeda and ISIS are going to unite to give themselves a stronger joint position. Needless to say, this video is a perfect example of the realities on the ground and the combat that continues on a daily basis in Syria.
